To talk about the depressing statistics of unemployment, infant mortality, incarceration, teenage pregnancy, and violent crime is one thing. But to face up to the monumental eclipse of hope, the unprecedented collapse of meaning, the incredible disregard for human (especially black) life and property in much of  Black America, is something else.

There is much converstation regarding  what is happening, or not happening regarding the education, dress and overall  acheivement of Black male youth. There are some who believe that the plight of Black families is due to the absence of the 'Black man in the family. High percentages of Black males are not graduating high school, and are ending up in the juvenile justice system and eventually land in the adult correctional system. The young males are wearing their pants below their buttocks(SAGGIN), and they can not find jobs.

Do you think politicians are interested in helping to solve these problems that plague the Black community and what do you suggest they do?.

When you hear of the devastation of Black children in regards to education, youth arrest, STD’s and health and what appears to be the demise of Black families it leads one to wonder, how did we get in this condition? What caused the demise in our strong family structure, and our children’s lack of ability to understand that they will be responsible for the next generation?  More importantly want can be done to turn this situation around?
